Media Converter
Stand-alone
DMSI’s 10/100 and 10/100/1000 stand-alone ethernet media converters are an efficient and adaptable solution in the field of LAN campus networking. It mediates between a 10, 100, or 1000Base-TX segment, and a 1000Base-FX segment. Gigabit converters can extend the conventional 10M or 100/1000M fast ethernet out to 20km-120km via the fast ethernet fiber-optical line. It is primarily designed for large, higher speed/bandwidth demanding work groups that require expansion of the ethernet network.
PoE
The PoE (PSE) Media Converter allows the user to connect fiber to copper via power PoE devices. It features a UTP RJ45 port and an empty SFP port which is customizable with the use of a swappable SFP for single or multimode applications. This media converter auto-detects 10, 100 and 1000mbps bandwidths and each unit includes an AC power cord for internal power and a PSE controller to output power into CAT twisted pair cable to power devices.
Industrial
DMSI’s industrial converter is used for connecting devices and networks in outdoor and harsh environments. Its an easy to install and operate solution, providing 10/100/1000mbps bandwidth on power over ethernet, while operating in a range of extreme temperatures.
SFP
The hot pluggable SFP transceiver is a high performance, cost-effective duplex LC module interface. The receiver section uses a PIN receiver, and the transmitter uses a VCSEL laser, with up to 9dB link budget to ensure a 1000Base ethernet up to 550M application.
